Easter 2017

3 Main Elements

1.  Video Wall Design
2.  Crosses Lowering at Climax Moment
3.  Satellite Stages
4.  SkyPan Look-Alikes

Video Wall

We wanted a big visual effect as a background and decided to go with an extreme wide format video wall in the center with an additional two very small square walls matching height on the sides by the satellite stages.  The side walls gave the illusion of stretching the image even wider than the wall on the stage background.

Crosses

At a specified time in the response song we had three crosses that had been flown far enough into the ceiling that no one could see them come down into primary view.  The idea was that as we sung the song, "The Cross is the Final Word" the crosses would be lowered as the second chorus rounded up.  We wanted people anywhere in the room to be face-to-face with the cross.  It was a really moving moment.

SkyPan look alikes

The design also called for 7 SkyPans under the main widescreen and 2 for the satellite stages.  One on each side.  The problem was we couldn't find them in stock for rental.  Likewise power would've been an issue for a real fixture.  So our solution was to try to make a look-alike.  I'm not a big fan of look-alikes for these but it was a budget issue so we bought some large pales.  We cut them so they wouldn't be too deep and then kind of manufactured a housing for the bulb.  We think they look terrible up close.  However from far away they look fantastic with one caveat.  They always have to be at least a little bit up or you can see the imperfections.
